A few simple steps can make a big difference: Keep gifts out of sight: Avoid placing presents where they can be seen from windows or doors. Lock up, even when you’re in: Opportunistic thieves only need a moment. Light up your home: Use timers or leave a light on to give the impression someone is in. Secure deliveries: Parcels left on doorsteps are easy targets — consider safe delivery options. Dispose of packaging discreetly: Boxes for high‑value items can advertise what’s inside your home. Look out for neighbours: A quick check-in or a watchful eye helps protect the whole street.
